5:2 Diet

Why 5:2...?


Personally, it's for the long term health benefits, and increased energy levels day to day. 2018 has been an usual year for me in terms of emotions and energy levels and I'm all up for trying the 5:2 to help restore balance in my body, so far it's resonating well and I'm feeling good for it! At the moment I'm doing 6:1, I don't feel the need to diet 2 days a week... naturally it feels like a big change in my body to get used to and I'm experiencing the feeling of hunger more on a daily basis (which pleases me) there's one thing enjoying food, and another things enjoying it when you feel even more so that you're beyond ready to eat :)


A very curious path already...

5:2 can seem daunting if you're not so used to using lots of fresh veggies
, so I'm documenting my journey of the 5:2 meal plans which I hope will inspire you if you're on a similar path.


Menu 1:  (Approx 500 calories) 

Breakfast - Tea (10) 
                - Wholemeal toast with 1/2 mashed banana (130)

Lunch - Baked pepper diced with 4 cherry toms, basil + garlic, 1/2 baked sweet potato, large leaf bok choi, 5 cucumber slices (120)

Snacks:

1/2 Banana (50)
8 Carrot Sticks (40)
5 Grapes (10)

Dinner:

Fishcakes! (Sweet potato 1/3, tin tuna 1/2, coriander, chilli, splash soy sauce) with steamed broccoli (155)

Herbal Tea (2)
